More Gorgeous Sempervivum

It's always fascinating to me how many colors and textures there are; and they're not static - they constantly change through the summer and into the fall.
When the plants are happy and healthy, they'll glow and show off their watermarks. Even in a full drought situation, they'll survive by closing up the rosettes to conserve water, opening up again once it rains. These are tough plants, alright!
Ranging from purple to blue to jade green to bright lime, there is no limit to the colors of the many different varieties and species of Sempervivum.

Hi' Thanks for your reply re-succulents ' I am in Australia and we get some pretty weather extremes( ie- hot summers and cold winters in my region) I have a front deck which gets the hot afternoon summer sun and I have my plants there,From what you say this may not be an ideal place to have them** do you think That after re-potting a shadier spot would be better? Would appreciate your advice** Have a good day :D

Hi @Jo, what exactly are the succulents, do you know? If they're hardy ones (Sedum, Sempervivum) then you might want to have them where they can have shade in the afternoon, or just put some kind of shade there for them. Are they in pots? It isn't clear from your question.
