What a wonderful idea

My husband and I did this in an old fixer-upper house we bought 3 years ago. Now, 3 years later I still love my floors and they are holding up beautifully. We used 12 inch planks and stained them a beautiful pecan and then put layers of polyurethane on to give them a very high gloss.
