With Just a Can of Paint, a 1964 Ranch House is Completely Changed!
When I bought Flip 3 from Grandma & Grandpa's estate, it was severely lacking curb appeal! From the country blue siding & trim to the monocromatic colors, it needed some eye-catching TLC!

Step 1: Old Windows. Country blue siding. Overgrown shrubbery. No color. Flip 3 needed something to create curb appeal, and with just a can (okay, maybe two) of paint, the curb appeal dramatically improved!
Step2: I hired this job out. Yes, you could do it yourself...but in crazy July heat in Arkansas, I had no desire! I wanted something totally different from the current color palette, so I chose my house flipping staple: gray. [Want to know the name of the paint color? Check out my blog!]
Step 3: I also added newer, energy-efficient windows that helped not only the appearance, but these are actually totally functional- always a good thing! The edges of the siding used to be country blue, and I considered replacing them...but I learned something knew- you can PAINT siding! Who knew?!
Step 4: This project took about 2.5 days and less than $1,000. Again, you could DIY this, but there are just some tasks I prefer to hire out. With new windows & new paint, the exterior of Flip 3 was changing daily...for the better!
Step 5: My last project on the exterior was my front door. It's the same door with new life! I wanted a bold pop of color that was bright to contrast with the darker gray brick. I threw in a vintage mailbox from a thrift store, and now this 1964 ranch has a fun, modern vibe to it! [i talk about which paint and color I used on the front door in my blog!]
It has been a year since I had this project done. Even since then, I've pulled out the shrubs from the driveway, added some perennials, and planted some grass seed. The exterior isn't totally finished yet, but it has certainly improved! I've been highly satisfied with how the paint has remained through scorching summers and freezing winters. It was well worth 2 days and less than $1,000!
