Very clever. I read your tutorial with great interest. It's going to take me a while to figure out the conversion ratios, since I'm in the States, but I love the idea with the silicone mold.

Love your containers! And the fact you tried both the concrete and cement to see the differences I appreciate, I never thought much about it until I saw, and read your tutorial. Now I am going to use the concrete ( left over) but I am going to buy some cement today! My mind is going 90 to nothing about what I could make! I also like your blog and how you have geared it towards children. The fact you really do this with your kids is wonderful! And you have some fun idea's for them and to help them be creative and thinkers!

Thank you @Catherine Smith! I simply followed the ratios described on the packaging of the cement...then used a little mathematical thinking power (read calculator) to half it/double it according to how much I needed....with the concrete...just make sure you have a mix that is pourable, but not too runny...add a little more water/ concrete as you go along...the silicone moulds are great, as you dont have to struggle getting the shapes out!! @Sherrie: thank you! there are just so many possibilities when using concrete and cement!! I have another great project in mind...watch this space!! My blog is not usually geared towards children, but as my daughter is off school for summer, I thought its only fair to her to do some creative projects for kids over the holidays...also : she loves having her friends around...so its a win win!! I think its so important to show kids they can make and do things ....and not just buy toys in a shop...(they grow tired of things too quickly ...) creativity grows the mind!! xx
