It has officially begun. The point in the summer where the boredom level is at maximum capacity. We needed a solution and I can't wait to share it with you!
Meet the bored bucket. It was born from the following:

The newness of the pool is over.

The heat and humidity in Kansas City are sucking the very life out of us.

The kids are tired of one another. And probably of me. Lol.
Head to your local home improvement store and pick up some paint sticks. Give them a quick coat of spray paint.
Grab a sharpie and write out some fun things for you to do with the kids! The post is full of great ideas and suggestions!
When you hear an "I'm bored". Break out the can for some fun!
Suggested materials:
  • Paint sticks   (sharpie)
  • Spray paint   (paint can)

What age do you (all) think this can work from? Only my eldest (5) can read (a bit) yet, so we might have to do pictures.

Great idea for the grandchildren. (and us oldies !) My mum used to say that only boring people got bored. Oh well, that was parenting in the 1950's I guess.

I parented long after your mum and didn’t allow my daughter to say, “I’m bored.” I explained to her she had so many toys, books and crafts supplies in addition to a bike, roller blades etc. there was no reason for her to ever be bored.

And the "projects" she found for me to do were usually the household chores that she did not enjoy doing!!
