Modern Industrial Inspire Concrete Easter Eggs

I wanted to try something a little more 'edgy' for Easter Eggs this year, so I decided to cast some eggs out of leftover Mortar Mix I had lying around after a bathroom remodel.
The process couldn't be simpler... messy yes.. but super easy. Fill plastic eggs with concrete, let them dry, pop them open, sand them and VOILA!
Instant industrial feeling Easter Decor!
To create them I poured concrete mix directly into an empty plastic easter egg
Snap them closed and let the concrete cure

A quick skimcoat and a little sanding and you have a polished final product.

For a more 'spring' look, I added some baker's twine!
