We added ledges to the hallway to display generations of family photos.
Using some left-over crown molding, my husband built these ledges and attached them to the wall in our hallway. He fronted a narrow piece of wood with crown molding that he angled on each end. He then used a router to finish the edges of another piece of wood to serve as a ledge under the shelf.
A second set of ledges on the opposite wall of the hallway

It is so important to know your roots. It helps future generations if they know who the people are and when/where the pics were taken.I hope that you made copies and have them stored in a safe place.Good job Hubby! What a wonderful display! Enjoy!:)

Thank you, Larose. I love family photos, and this display has prompted a lot of family stories being told to our children and grandchildren.
