Easy DIY Solar Lights Lamp Post With Flower Planter

I made this Solar Light Lamp Post to solve the problem of needing more lighting on our deck without having to use electrical wiring. It works so well. I used a Hampton Bay solar light lantern set that I purchased at Home Depot. It reduced the cost buying the lights in a set. I was able to finish the project in a day! My kind of project.
I placed a steel rod in Quikrete as my base. You can check out the steps on my blog.
It's amazing how much light they give off, and the best part is so far they are not drawing bugs!!
I used cable ties to make the lamps varying lengths.

You get these solar lights like that, with the hook. I have lots. Not so easy to find any more. If you are in Canada Canadian Tire has them.
