Looking to shrink your water bill or progress your green living style? Try these 5 "outside the box" ways to save on water (i.e. tips are under the pictures below).
Take a bath in a lake or river. Just make sure to use biodegradable shampoo!
Fill a tupperware with water and sink it in the corner of the toilet water tank to displace the volume.
Reduce the size of your lawn by adding a patio or some extra landscaping.
Not the most sanitary of methods, but if it's yellow let it mellow. I'm too much of a clean freak to do this but maybe somebody out there is a little more bold!
Place a bucket in the shower while it warms up and reuse the collected water in the garden.

What interesting ways to save water. I'm going to start using the last one. We already have low water, toilets.

What happened to replacing aerators on faucets, fixing dripping faucets and spigots, washing full loads of clothes or dishes only, limiting shower times, limit the water used washing vehicles, use water saving shower heads, catch rainwater for plants and use a rain gauge to limit water to only as needed and to avoid over watering lawn.
