If you have little ones here is an easy project that should only take a couple of hours. Half the fun is hitting the garage sales or flea markets to get the used skateboard that you will need. The rest of the materials you need for building this project should be available at your local hardware store or a big box. You will need some good outdoor rope, some dowel rod for handles and of course the skateboard. As long as you are at the hardware store make sure you have a drill bit slightly larger than the rope you bought. OK. I know some of you are wondering why Johnnie has a lifejacket on. He came from the pool to try out the new swing.
Here's what you need: Old Skateboard, good rope, dowel rod and a drill with a bit slightly bigger than the diameter of the rope.
Drill holes for the rope in each end of the Skateboard. Keep the ropes as wide as possible for stability.
Drill holes in the dowels for the rope to be strung through.
Use the bottom knot on each side to set the height of the handles. Add a knot above the dowel for stability.
The finished swing. Now go find a tree to hang it from.
