Saving a Turn Table (Lazy Susan)

I’ve had this Rubbermaid Turn Table sitting in my cabinet for years. It’s seen better days, to be sure. It was a beige color that was stained with food coloring. I wanted to use it in my Sewing/Craft Room, so it needed a face lift. And a face lift is what it got!
My tired old turn table before & a brand new looking after! (with sparkle)
This was my old Turn Table (or Lazy Susan). It was stained with food coloring & beige colored. I wanted to use it in my sewing/craft room. It needed a face lift!
I gave it 3 light coats of Krylon Fusion Paint satin finish in white. But I couldn't stop there!
Duck Brand now makes something called Deco Adhesive Laminate. It's like Contact Paper, but it comes in amazing patterns & colors.
I turned the paper over & made an imprint of the outline of the turn table with my thumb nail.
I cut the paper into a more manageable size, then cut along the imprint.
I peeled the backing off of the paper & put it on the turn table, making sure to work out any air bubbles
Now, it's not only a pretty white, but it sparkles. The adhesive sticks well, but if I change my mind about the pattern, I can always peel it off & replace it with new... or leave it plain white.
