Inexpensive Candle Holders Made From Trim Decor and Table Legs.

I bought these two table legs at a garage sale for $3.00. They have been sitting in the garage, awaiting their turn to be re-purposed into tall candle holders. My husband cut off the part of the leg where it attached to the table. We tried to figure out what we could use at the top of the leg/candle holder to actually hold the candle. While browsing in the trim section of Lowe's, we realized these square trim pieces would work great since they already had recessed circles inside. We trimmed the square pieces down a bit so they were more in line with the size of the table legs and then added two more square pieces, untrimmed,to the base of the legs. I painted and distressed them and now they sit on top of a table rather than under the table!
Before.
The candle holders are 27" tall. The candles were 50% off at Hobby Lobby.
The recessed part of trim piece is perfect for several sizes of candles.

Great idea - and relatively inexpensive (my kind of project!) Thanks for sharing.
