About Me:

Director of Estimating & Project Analysis for a Washington,DC area Design-Build firm. 15 years of high-end, residential remodeling experience.

Favorite area of home improvement:

For me, taking a project from concept through the design development phase, into production and helping it evolve to its beautiful final form is extremely rewarding. The customer experience is always at the forefront as decisions regarding design and implementation are made. This is both tricky and challenging as the majority of our projects feature turn of the century homes. Each project is wholly unique and presents its own individual obstacles along the way. Overcoming these challenges while delivering top-notch service to our clients is a delicate balance and one I embrace. Seamlessly integrating new & old in this environment, satisfying both design & determining feasibility and developing a plan for implementation & execution are always different and force me to think out of the box, which is why I love what I do. Delivering a product that exceeds client expectations as we transform their home and their lives energizes me every day.

I've used Warmly Yours for years now with great success. I continue to use them to this day. ...»
Excellent product, pricing, and customer service.

Best of all, it's an electric mat requiring very little prep and installs easily on top of the subfloor as described by KMS. It's not really sufficient for primary heating, but will make tile floors feel warm underfoot per its design.

    Highly recommend.

I was proud to represent Hometalk at Homearama in Virginia Beach this weekend and completely taken by the beauty and

elegance of these homes built by members of the Tidewater Builders Association. Which home is your favorite???

The goal was to make a small kitchen flow a little better and expand the storage space.

Momentum Construction installed the cabinetry and MODA did the tile work. We think it turned out nice.

The lighting changes make a HUGE difference, too. ...»

I'm sorry but there's nothing worse than the combination of cold, florescent lighting paired with white melamine cabinets. Yuck!!

Warmer lighting and cabinets - super combo.

I'm not a painter, but I've dealt with many over a number of years, and unless you have a ...»
long-standing relationship with a reputable one, chances are better than average they'd blame the existing cabinetry if chipping became an issue. Because it couldn't be THEIR work, right?

Reputable trades-people won't do that and my painter and I have a great relationship. I trust him completely and have been working with him for nearly 10 years, but I burned through plenty before I found him. And.......I can bring a painter well over 100k annually, so you'd think I could use that leverage to have someone do acceptable work and then honor a warranty!

It's even harder for a homeowner who hasn't much to offer but a small project.

Do your research and pay more for the guy who comes heavily recommended. If you're not sure where to go for references, visit a paint store. The folks there will surely know who the right contractors are in your area.
