DIY Industrial Chic Sconce

I was challenged to fill up a large blank wall on a very small budget. For about $20 I made 3 large wall sconces and I love the industrial feel they bring to my dining/entry! http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2012/02/indust...

Picket fence boards and wire garden fencing combine to make charming boxes

Using leftover fence boards, I made simple wood boxes...the real inspiration came when I attached a section of old wire garden fencing...this provides the added charm and a way to hang the boxes verticall. The complete tutorial is here - http://fourcornersdesign.blogspot.com/2012/0...

  • a photo display with a vintage vibe

A few odds and ends...turned into a vintage photo display

A broken broom handle, a cedar fence post cap and a handful of metal curtain rings are turned into a photo display with a vintage vibe. The broom handle was secured to the post cap with a little glue and a nail, the metal curtains rings were attached with a small nail, through a hole drilled into the ring with my Dremel drill...didn't take much time nor effort...the complete tutorial is here...http://fourcornersdesign.blogspot.com/2012/03/cultivating-spark.html
