I've got two dormers in my bonus room where I'd like to build cabinets or window seats.

Any basic ideas on how to proceed? Thanks

Remodeling: We remodeled our master bath.

The shower, tub, sinks, and toilet were replaced. It was all plumbed identically with the old configuration, but now we have gurgling noises coming from the new slipper tub when the ...»
toilet is flushed. It doesn't happen all the time, but the majority of the time. I have run a bit of water in the tub to keep the trap filled, but that doesn't solve the problem consistantly.

Your thoughts, please

Outdoor Living: Cleaning the grout in our shower is an awful task.

What should we replace the ceramic with. We're thinking of a remake of our Master bath.

I recently saw some realistic "granite" looking tub surrounds at Home depot, cost was in the ...»
$600 range. These are acrylic panels that have a "granite" look. The kit includes four large panels and edge pieces.

On the higher end scale you can also get real granite in large panels these run about 3/8" to 1/2" thick and are installed like giant tiles.

I have installed lots of 12" tile with 1/8" grout line....compared to a 4" tile this reduced the amount of grout line significantly.
