The "Brides" Chair...A Keepsake For My Daughter

I was given this antique chair and I knew I wanted to create something special for my daughter's upcoming wedding. I decided to paint it and re-cover the seat...then I adorned it with pieces of lace from my wedding veil and a sign with ribbons from my bouquet. We used it at her shower and all the fluff is removable.... so now she has a cute chair for her bedroom and a special reminder of this time in her life.
A special chair for her special day!
I started with the chair on the right.
I used Annie Sloan"s Old White and a French script fabric for the seat.
I used a wood block for the sign, painted on the word and adorned it with ribbons from my wedding bouquet, lace from my veil and some twine.
This is back of the sign...I put some burlap and a Dollie on it since it was visible from the front.
