DIY Bathroom Makeover

2 Materials
Recently, a friend asked me for help in revamping her 90's style bathroom. A wall of mirror was staying but they had some pictures of how they wanted it to look. They found the idea on Hometalk!
Pink-ish Corian counter tops and green walls
After choosing a new shower curtain and wall color I went looking for new counter top material . I found this granite in a remnant-but big enough to handle a 92" length.
I used my Home Right spray painter and tent to paint the all the trim and a cabinet (built by the homeowner).
I placed the cabinet on top of the counter between the two sinks and secured it to the wall at the top using L-brackets. We measured. cut and attached trim directly to the mirror. We used construction adhesive to attach it and kept it held in place with tape while it set up.
Once it was dry I caulked everything in, let it dry and touched up the paint. Then it was time to add the pretty stuff.
I stayed in budget and the family loves this finished product! You can see more of the process at http://whileilinger.blogspot.com/2016/08/old-girl-new-gig-part-3-bathroom.html
Suggested materials:
  • Wood trim, crown molding, base board, faucets   (home depot)
  • Sinks, shower curtain, towel rings, hooks   (amazon)

I will like to add a cabinet in top of my bathroom counter but I have only one sink in the middle. On one end of the counter I have the wall with the light switch and at the other end I have the tub and on that side I have the light of the window. Any suggestions thank you

Am I the only one that was shocked at the price of the granite/installation? The remodel is wonderful! My favorite part is the cabinet in the middle. Great idea, great job!
