Hair dye spilled and stained my bathroom cabinet drawers, What's the best way to fix this? They are oak stained and now have a big darker streak that won't come off with cleaners.

Make a paste of 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 1 part baking soda. You can do this by mixing the 2 ingredients together in a clean bowl. Take a clean, dry cloth and rub the hair dye stain with the mixture. ... Repeat until the hair dye stain is no longer visible.

I not so much a match your-matchy person. If it were me, I would take those drawers out, sand them down and then stain them a color that complements my bathroom aesthetics. If I have a blue shower curtain and blue accents, I'd consider a blue stain on the drawer fronts. If that is too stark for you, I'd stain the drawers the color of my faucets and drawer pulls.

If your furniture has a polyurethane coating it's possible that the stain is just in the poly. Sand it off and add more poly. If it's in the wood you will have to sand or plane it off then top coat with polyurethane again

Thank you to all who answered! Your suggestions were helpful, since I needed to use a couple of them. I used the hydrogen peroxide-baking soda paste first. Unfortunately, it removed only some layers of the stain. I then used my Amope foot file to sand the the rest of the stain off. Though I would have LOVED to redo these cabinets, I rent and the landlord is very particular.
