There were custom designed cabinets, marble countertops, and a subway tile backsplash. Slim puck lights and under cabinet light fixtures completed this drop-dead gorgeous kitchen remodel in Missouri.

@Boots R, that sounds horrible! I've never had a problem like that in a kitchen...I suppose it just depends on the kind of microwave fan you get?

My worry with an over-the-stove microwave and a gas stove is the possibility of getting burned. I'm short and would have to lean into the space to reach the microwave, and if the burners are on my clothing could catch fire. Am I just over-concerned? Not to mention, I wear bifocals and trying to read the settings would be hard since I would have to look up.
