Grainsack Striped Potato Bin Turned Bedside Table

I recently had the chance to donate a piece of furniture to a Habitat for Humanity house designed by blogger for a deserving family. I chose a piece that sat in my garage for months, something that was purchased as part of a group of pieces. I assumed it was an old potato bin and could never quite find the perfect place or makeover for it. With a little gray paint and a grainsack stripe, it fit perfectly into a room designed with 2 brothers in mind. More pictures and the full story are on the blog!
After a coat of paint and a grainsack stripe. Love how the same knobs look so different with a new coat of paint.
The sliding door reveals deep storage... a perfect place for lots of toys.
The original bin... worn but rock solid pine and porcelain knobs.
