I have been renovating a1959 model "modern" home with unique challenges.

The kitchen is sort of an island in the house with custom built cabinets. I definitely need to replace cabinet tops and maybe cabinet fronts? Any suggestions?

Circulation and work triangle seem to be good. I think you only need cosmetic repairs like counter tops and cabinet refacing.

Yes you should definitely change the look of the cabinets. If you don't want new cabinets, then reface them. Consider vertical grain douglas fir, with slab doors and drawer fronts to match the modern look of the house.

Looks very nice and functional. I like the Wood grain and many cabinets. Looks like a good place to sit and talk (and watch dinner being made)
