Can You Believe That Your Kitchen Can Actually Make You Fat?

OK, this might sound silly but after a research my dear friend and colleague Megan Steel did for our blog, we are fairly convinced about it. The way you choose to organise your kitchen, how you decorate it and even the gadgets you buy can successfully influence your appetite, your desire to cook (un)healthily.
Take a look at our post: http://www.fantasticcleanersmelbourne.com.au/news/your-kitchen-influences-your-eating-habits-1732/
and tell me what you think :)
3 ways to organise your kitchen which have different effect on your appetite. With subtle lighting and delicate accessories in the room, you can actually eat 18% less!
Do you really need these gadgets that tempt you to cook high-calorie snacks and meals?
After you have spent a couple of hours on Pinterest you are eager to eat a big piece of cake, aren't you?

I completely agree with the cluttered kitchen not being conducive to wanting to cook.

I can't seem to get your link to work and I want to read what you found out. I do know Pinterest can spike my appetite for the wrong things. Luckily I don't keep those things in my house and I almost never take time to bake either.

@Z I am sorry about the link, sometimes our server gets a bit temperamental :( Otherwise, I agree with you that one of the best ways to eat healthy is to stop stocking high-calorie snacks. Ever since I limited the time I spend on PInterest, I have been feeling less hungry, too :)

Thank you Margaret. It worked today. I have a feeling it was our router that was playing naughty again. It's a D-Link and I've read that they highjack links and won't let you go anywhere but their search engine. It's supposedly just a bug so I hope they fix it soon. FB is becoming hard to view too since so many post photos and recipes of yummy baked goods. I swear the calories jump off my screen and into my body! I'm off to read what you found out.

Well I think I'm doing pretty good then. I'm big on keeping my kitchen clean and even have our grandson putting his dirty dishes in the sink. I'm also obsessive about everything having a place and everything put back in that space. I avoid Pinterest and I'm pretty sure our kitchen design (by me and hubby) is quite welcoming and homey feeling.

@Z thank you for taking the time to read my post. Unlike you, I am more of a messy person and I can vouch that clutter influences my cooking habits rather negatively. However, I am trying to improve that, so keep your fingers crossed for me :) . P.S. I saw your kitchen on your post and it really looks very tidy and organised. I am even a bit jealous :P

@Z , I love your kitchen! The colour scheme is fabulous and the lighting simply perfect. It's a wonderful combination of contemporary and classic styles. It must be a pleasure to cook and dine in it. P.S. the pictures are very good ;)

You kitchen doesn't look odd at all! On the contrary, it looks fascinating - lush and stylish. You are a woman of great taste since you and your hubby have designed the entire space by yourselves. Btw. you should really do a post on Hometalk about your kitchen. It really deserves to be shown off.
