  • Nicotinia? It's hard to tell from this picture as to the size.

Hi there. Nicotiana has 5, but it looks so similar. My basic searches aren't bringing it up. Is it blooming in CT right now? Size? Perennial or you don't know? Sun/pt. sun or shade. Could you back off, take one of the full plant, and then a closeup of leaves? Thanks!

You might have better luck posting a pic of the whole plant and the foliage as well. How tall is it?

It would definitely speed it up @Vicky Thompson ! I shared this with a Plant FB group, and one response was that the bloom reminded him of a Kalanchoe. A picture of the leaves would either help confirm or not :)

@Cheryl stanley No not wegelias...I didn't spell it right either, but I have several and it is not that, but a very beautiful plant.

It does look like kalanchoe from what I can see of the stem and the leaves. Very easy to grow if you just a few cuttings. Stick em in the ground and they take off.

My first thought after looking at the second photo was a Kalanchoe as well. Seeing the leaves could confirm this.

The second photo leads me to believe the folks in the Kalanchoe camp are correct.

Kalanchoe here too. You can tell by the foliage that is showing on the 2nd picture. They come in doubled and single blossoms and a wide range of colors

This plant is an annual called nicotiana. It can grow from 1 ~ 2 feet tall. They have beautiful sweet scented flowers that come in a variety of colors. The leaves are soft like petunias, and unlike petunias, do not trail. You will not be sorry you grew these! They are one of my favorite plants and can easily be started by seed in the spring. Good luck!! :-)
