My house originally had UGLY brown speckled tile on guest bath tub surround. I found the proper mastic to lay NEW (beautiful) tile right on top of the old. I used a rope-type tile to conceal the edges. Spectacular!

I have also had the tub refinished from dull almond to white. What a huge difference!
