Painting a Vinyl Chair

I'm here to tell you that if you ever are out thrifting and come across and old vinyl chair in good condition meaning no holes, regardless of its color you should snap it up because you can spray paint it! Yep that's right! Besides giving this chair a good scrubbing all I had to do was spray it with primer and paint in one, spray paint. The key is to make sure you give it a few days to dry. The paint adheres to the vinyl and you can't even tell you painted it, it looks and feels like it was always this way! Did you use the same paint on the legs and arms as the seat and back?

Very nice. I was amazed when I first spray-painted a chair with a vinyl seat many years ago--the results were fantastic.

I painted and over stuffed leather chair and primed it first. Krylon is terrible, drips all over. Started with the seat and started cracking. Design Master brand seems best, used for painting silk flowers. I saved the brass tacks, covered with rubber cement but decided not enough went back with vaseline. Wiping off took some of the paint. Had to go back and paint around each tack! Ugh! could never be a dental hygenist! Power to those who can. Turned out great, sorry no pictures.
