Potting/Work Bench

I asked my husband to build me a very simple potting bench...and he ended making me a potting and work bench. He put in an electric box for me and also gave me a place for a hose attachment....both right at my bench. I have not only used it as a potting bench, but have also used it for 3 craft projects already. Cost was about $85.00

Will have to wait till next summer to stain it...wood is still too wet. I was hoping to do somesort of a whitewash....has anyone had experience with it? Would really appreciate any input you may have.
