Vertical Blinds

I have Vertical Blinds on a Patio Door. Some of them keep falling down. I have tried different repairs but it doesn't stay. Any ideas?

I would run a small bead of super glue along the clip / blind joint. Let it dry for a few hours before hanging it back up.

Thanks for your reply, but the space is too large. A part must have broken off.

I think I know what happened as that happened to some blinds we had years ago. I added a few standard staples across the gap that held it for quite some time. Eventually that failed and then I turned them upside down and used a paper punch twice where the hole was needed and placed them back on the track. Ofcourse that leaves the bottoms with little holes in them, but no one ever noticed. Eventually I bought new slats.

Yes I did the upside down trick, but I will try the staples, if the staple will be wide enough. I cant wait to get rid of these things! lol!

@Debbie I hope it works for you. Another idea I thought about doing with our verticals was to remove the slats all together and use fabric panels. I planned on using stapes at intervals so they could be clipped into the track but still have some gather to them when they were completely closed but still slide open when I wanted more light.

    Thanks for the idea Becky

@Debbie May Arcay You're welcome. I hate throwing away things just because they don't work right so I try and find ways to make them work.
  • I think the first and foremost thing required before buyingany vertical blinds question yourself that whether you want them to mount theminside or outside the door frame because the mounting hardware is sold with theblinds.

you can get a metal clip that slips over the top of the blind that will allow you to hang them back on the clips and they will stay. You should be able to get them from any window coverings dealer.

@Wow I wish I'd have known that years ago Yvette. Thank you! I'll have to remember that for future reference.
