Telephone Table Transformation

Do you remember these old telephone tables?
My grandma had two similar to these, and one with a seat beside it. I thought they were strange as a kid, but now, I LOVE them! I mean, look at all the storage space!!
Just painting these tables made me remember what it was like to have a REAL phone. I miss real phones!
These tables were a garage sale find. They were in pretty rough shape. After two coats of Annie Sloan's Provence, they look so much better! How cute would these be in a young girl's room?
The finished tables painted in Annie Sloan's Provence and finished off with clear wax.
Tables were lightly distressed.
LOVE these details!!
The before pic... eeeek!

oh, i was so blessed to find one of these at the Goodwill....think i paid five dollars for it...it kindof looked like yours Claire....brown, water stains....and just as i had told my husband, who btw was against me buying it since we have so much "junk' as he puts it ) a customer rep. came us and said, " i sure hope you will restore it and not take it home and paint it"....well, just let me tell you, i came straight home and went to painting it and i love mine too......i want my husband w/me when we are out and about, but then he goes to telling me "no" on everything......i need a friend who loves to hunt for things like this....your paintings are awesome and i am sure they have added to your home instead of taking away from it.....these are lovely tables, most likely made in the U.S.A. and now you were able to find something in the U.S.A, and give back to our country....YEA!!!!!!!!!!

Claire, these little phone tables look 100 per cent better for a coat of paint. They do have a lovely shape to them! Very pretty!
