I am having a horrible time with moles in my yard. I feel like the movie Happy Gilmore :-/ We have pasture fields all around us. They can stay there for all I care but they are wrecking havoc on my yard tunneling through flower beds and every where else. I need a TOUGH way to rid them. Help!!!

Was it caddy shack where they used dynamite? many mole problems are not really "mole" problems but insect grubs and the likes of those. The moles are there to eat the food crop. Reduce or eliminate the food source and you will see improvements. Here are some other tips from Wiki http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Moles-in-Your-Lawn ...you got to love the 12 gauge method.

@KMS Woodworks Yeah I meant Caddy Shack. Can you put stuff down to rid moles Anytime of the year??
  • For an alternative to chemicals~castor oil or at Walmart or other big box stores the mole repellant which is castor oil in a hose sprayer. Saturate the ground but work your way out from the house to the pastures. I have had old timers in the past tell me juicy fruit gum stuck in the holes. I have tried the cat poop method before with great success. LOL but now I stick to castor oil and my watering can. Plus I have cats and dogs that dig everywhere and catch them and the voles that use their trails to eat the roots of plants. Good luck.

Another cost effective way to get rid of moles is with spearmint gum or oil. a few drops at the opening of the mole hole, or an open stick of spearmint gum stuck in the entry.
