How can I clean my white mixer which has turned yellow? Can I use vinegar and baking soda on this mixer? What other technique can I use to clean a mixer?

In my experience when I come across these objects tucked in the far recess of my closets or pantries. I love the retro look but not the age spots so to speak. This is what has worked for me, I spray on Scrubbing bubbles leave on , 15 minutes wipe off wipe an old bleach soaked rag. Repeat at least twice. Unfortunately, we can not submerege the motor part you will need to use elbow grease. I have had some so difficult to clean that I restored to using peroxide and baking soda. But this CAN be done and I hope my small tid bit helps you out.

I had the same problem with an old small appliance. The acrylic or whatever had just aged and turned yellow so it wasn't a matter of it being dirty. It was clean but discolored. I tried bleach but, no luck! I've seen people spray paint their small appliances (Google "spray painted kitchen mixers") with great success. I never bothered as I kept my appliance in a cupboard but I would definitely spray paint if it was on my counter. Remember to protect the mechanisms with tin foil, though.
