An Entryway Update and an Accent Wall

Check out how I updated my entryway with a gorgeous GREEN and non-toxic lime paint!
This poor wall has always been weird. It's also where I stage my furniture since it is where I get the most optimal natural lighting in my house. Since I hated the green against my creations, I had been using this photography backdrop when staging. It was great for photos but I needed a more permanent solution.
When we first moved in, we closed off a set of french doors (I know GASP!) since the room they led to was to be converted from a library to my daughter's room. We left a recess in the wall thinking we might make a nook or a built in hall tree but over the years I decided it was better suited for entryway tables and holiday decor, as well as staging furniture.
After thoroughly cleaning and lightly sanding the wall to remove imperfections, I had my favorite tiny helper assist me in applying the wallprim. Since I was using Pure and Original's ALL natural Fresco Lime paint, I needed to prime with their eco-friendly mineral paint primer called "wallprim".
After allowing the wallprim to dry overnight, I added one coat of their Lime Fresco paint with a special technique and their giant and amazing brush. You can check out the full tutorial by hopping over to the blog post link below!
I seriously love my new wall! It's just such a gorgeous accent to my formal living room and it truly serves its purpose when I need to stage any furniture.
Since it's a neutral, my painted furniture pieces just pop against the background. The striations unique to the technique as well as to the paint create an incredible, modern yet upscale feel. I am truly in love!
