How to Make a Tire Swing

In this day and age of electronic gadgets and battery operated toys, sometimes its fun to take things old school and get the kids out of the house and into something simple and nostalgic. It does not get much simpler than a tire swing! Making one is super simple and you do not need very many supplies. I have all the details you need to make one as well as a supply list. Just get your hands on an old tire and you're all set!

Hang the tire swing from a sturdy branch.

    Don't forget to drill a few holes round the bottom to prevent water collection and rob mosquitoes of a potential breeding ground.

    I used chain all the way to the tree. I also used a peice of hose to protect the tree from damage from chain. Had to pay close attention to the weight capacity on all hardware for safety.
