Hi Will, someone glued solid wood floor to concrete. Those Jerks!!!. the best thing to do is go and rent a power floor scraper. they use them for vc tile , but should work better then a crow bar. lol GOOD LUCK
  • I'd start with a long handled scraper, move to the crow bar where needed and if all fails, rent the floor scraper. Sorry to hear you are dealing with poor initial installation issues.

When all of the wood is up...whats next? Chances are you may need to have the surface leveled by adding leveler, or sanding grinding little ridges of glue would nee to be finely "smoothed" if some other flooring products are being installed on top

you may need to also rent an elec chipping gun & use a 3" brick chisel,,, edco makes a tool specifically for this problem called an ' ugly stick ',,, i don't know where you can rent 1 but, if you'd like to use ours, just give me a call or send a note,,, bear in mind when you're done w/the wood, the floor will steel need diamond grinding
  • HD rents the "ugly stick" or a variation there of. I agree with the others that getting the hardwood off is just half the fun..clearing the remanants and glue debris will be a challenge.
