Jaime, I would suggest you refinish the cabinets with a darker stain, add crown molding to the top of the cabinets. You can cut some of the solid doors and add opaque tempered glass to the doors. Install under cabinet lighting. Replacing counter tops with a beige or brown Granite top and Installing a backsplash will make this kitchen look like new. The wall paint color is good maybe you can paint one wall a darker brown like chocolate brown. Hope this helps!

We put glass in the door that is missing in the picture, and dark granite is in the plan :) We have talked about a darker stain, but Im not a fan of the grain in the oak, and going darker will only bring it out more, not to mention thats a huge job to tackle. I want to do something that will increase our home value without breaking the bank. Also, these cabinets are all wood custom cabinets.

Then Jamie, just the countertops (Granite Transformations) and backsplash will do the job!

    You could always paint them.

I had very similar cabinets, and the hubs painted them! Top ones are Benjamin Moore Buttercream, and bottom are same brand's "Sage", so we have a very soft creamy top and green bottom. we replaced the countertops with Caesarstone, but if you are keeping what is shown in photo, you could always match your cabinet color tonally with the countertops. i ordered great brushed nickle pulls and knobs from Amazon. The hubs also put in a glass tile mosaic back splash that 'made' the kitchen - - zinnia from Sicis. Purchased at a discount tile place.
