We have two of the exact same style. One was a 6 light and one was a 7 light. We were remodeling a family room with a full wall stone fireplace. We took the 6 light wheel and stained it to match the mantle and hung it. It is beautiful. We do not need the 7 light one so trying to find a buyer for it. The stain we used was a minwax Dark Walnut. A perfect match to the big mantle.

You could make a clock out of it by removing the light bulb h olders, or put the numbers on them. I would probably go the solar light route myself or figure how to use it in my gardens.

I would turn the wheel on it's side, paint the spindles white and the wheel black. Then I would attach an antique looking wall sconce like the picture below to opposite sides and hang it on the wall. I would use something in this style, maybe with a white candle to match the spindles, mounted on each side.

I would use Ball jars or Mason jars for light covers and keep it as a light. You could also use wine bottles and cut the bottoms off and use the tops for light covers too. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/323414816967139... or https://www.pinterest.com/pin/323414816967139...
