Stepping Inside "hilltop Cottage", My She Shed

Many of you asked me to share the inside of my she shed when I was finished decorating it. And some asked what I would be using it for. It is my little piece of heaven up on a hill in our back yard. That's why I dubbed her, "hilltop cottage". It will hold my garden essentials and house some of my vintage collections. We will store some of our furniture in half of it during the winter, but the other half will be left for me to play in. :) When ever I am inside I have a grin from ear to ear. It's definitely my happy place!
This shed is a dream come true for me and I couldn't be happier with the end results!
It is my potting shed, but I opted to place my bench out back behind it. It stays shady there for a long time and the gravel makes it nice for brushing the dirt right onto the ground.
The rafters were a great place for displaying some of my collections. I have small watering cans, oil cans, and some sprinklers tucked up next to the roof.
I love old architectural pieces and have added them here and there throughout the shed. We placed to half porch pillars on each side of the entrance between the two rooms. Hubby cut me some hooks out of branches and we hung an old lantern on each side.
This large cabinet house some of my garden essentials. Pots, seeds, and bird seed. I decorated the top with garden goodies.
We added scalloped garden edging to two of the beams. Great for drying flowers and herbs.
I am loving the paver flooring! A wicker planter holds little metal French pots.
I added square nails along a 2x4 to hang my funeral basket collection. I did the same on the other side and hung baskets I make from chicken wire.
The junk wood wall holds junk goodies and I picked up the cute 'flowers fresh daily' wall piece at T.J. Maxx. The cracks in the wall are great for tucking in small garden tools like this small hoe.
I brought our croquet inside to keep it out of the weather.
An old dresser, (hubby is repairing the top drawer) holds small garden items. I fill one of the drawer with my fairy garden items during the winter.
I placed a small metal table and a stool made from a tractor seat underneath two of the windows. A nice place to sit now and then.
The cabinet holding pots sits atop an old ironrite. I placed a couple of my large oil cans underneath. A childs wheelbarrow is a home for some of my vintage sprinklers.

I'm just happy for you that's great. I want a she shed but found out that to have a simple porch would require expensive permits and architectural design. How sad. So you enjoy.

Thanks so much Dawn! I am like a kid in a candy store whenever I play in it. :)
