80's Tract Home Kitchen Makeover

Simple Details
by Simple Details
We gave my client's small 1980's kitchen a timeless update on a budget, using several diy projects including removing upper cabinets, using Rustoleum's Countertop Transformation Kit, refinishing her dining table, giving new life to chairs found in the neighbor's trash, black botanicals that make a statementt - you get the idea - more creativity than $$$! Check out all the details at my blog.
BEFORE - She had a 'drive-thru' window above her sink overlooking the family room, we removed the upper cabinets for a better sight line and to let more light into the kitchen.
A wall of black botanicals makes a beautiful statement.
We used the Rustoleum Countertop Transformation Kit to update her formica butcher block counters. We painted all the cabinets white, added glass doors for interest and used new nickel hardware.
BEFORE refinishing her dining table
AFTER with darker stain, we used two chairs found curbside, and reupholstered them in houndstooth, we paired them with Ikea slipcovered chairs. Her simple iron chandelier was a Craigslist find.

Can you please tell me how the Rustoleum counter refinished holds up to daily wear and tear and how difficult-easy it was to apply? Thank you
