Thanks all! The ceiling is just the old school textured. I'll try to get some updated pics on here. I had two base cabinet doors made to increase our hidden shelf space at the end of the cabinet range that the fridge is on. We also have or new appliances in. Finally done!
I did it a little at a time over several months. If I had to break it down into days I would say it took me 7 full days to lay the floor and shoemold, sand and paint the cabinets, replace all the hinges and knobs, install the light fixture, and do the backsplash.
the cabinets are painted with oil based brown rustoleum hammered finish. It has a great looking texture. It feels smooth but has kind of an orange peel effect. Looks great under the lights. The paint comes in small 32oz. cans. $15 a can at lowes or home depot
Chop-N-Drop- Great job on the kitchen! So many people install granite and forget about the rest of the space. I love that you painted the cabinets as well. The brown specks from the granite allow you to pull that color for the cabinets. If I could give one small piece of advice, I would replace the hardware with something a little more modern; like brushed nickel knobs. It will give it more of an updated look/feel. GREAT JOB!!
