Look How I Said "Thank You" Using Shaving Cream!

Are you ready to learn about a cool craft idea you can do using shaving cream and food coloring?
I will show you how to make a colorful print on blank paper with these materials! I turned mine into an adorable Thank You note!

Materials you need:

*2 cookie sheets

*2 spatulas - one for spreading and one for scraping

*Shaving cream

*Food coloring

*blank paper or cardstock

* Skewers or toothpicks

*Washi Tape

*Thank You stamp

First what you need to do is spray on the shaving cream/gel onto a cookie sheet. Spread it around until its even like frosting. Add a few drops of food coloring as a background color for your print.

I then used the skewer to swirl around and make a fun pattern with the color. You can use toothpicks for this as well.

Here is the fun part! Place a piece of paper onto the shaving cream and press down until all of the paper is touching the shaving cream. Then slowly peel off the paper.

Scrape off the shaving cream that is on the paper, revealing the pattern print. You will be amazed at the design that appears under the smeared shaving cream!!

When your prints are done, use them in photo framing, as homemade note cards, scrapbook pages, wrapping paper, or however else you want to show off your creative art! I turned mine into a Thank You note card. You may need to line the inside of your card with plain white paper if the back got marked up or stained at all from the print making process. Then I added a strip of silver wash tape and added a "Thank You" stamp (that I purchased on Amazon.

These could also be adorable birthday cards, Valentines, or you could even make tags for Christmas gifts using this technique!

The foam just dries on its own? Doesn't flake off?

How long do you have to wait before removing the cream？

I noticed the finished example here the color print is on about 2/3 of the card and that latter 1/3 is blank white. If you press the whole card down in the colored shaving cream, I am not seeing how the bottom of the example comes out just white. I would think you would have to make sure the last third is not colored if you want it to be white. Right? Thanks.

Thank you for your reply. From your finished card, the white part looks like a larger part of the card than I would refer to as an "edge". Hope to try this craft in the near future. Is there any other crafts you do? Thanks! God Bless You!
