Bees are living in my walls

Bees are entering between the brick of the first story and the 4x8 wood siding of the second floor. I do not know if they are behind the brick or the wood. I do not want to kill the bees, but I do not want to spend a lot of money for a bee trapper to come to my home. It would be neat to keep the bees for honey, but I have no experience. It will get cold here just south of Chicago and they will become dormant. Any DIY ideas to rescue the bees out of my house and do I have to tear things apart to exit the hive or just plug it up? Thank you
They are entering between the brick and wood.
They are entering at the corner. That is an overhang on the right side of the picture. Who knows they may be in there.

Actually they are European Paper Wasps. I will spray in the darkness of night while they are all at home sleeping

Oh , supposed to have quite a painful sting those. Re Bees...something have always wanted to do is have an indoor bee hive...! Don't laugh, I saw this done in a natural history museum , you drill through your wall to outer wall for entry hole then simply fix a toughned glass fronted hive to the wall (you listen to the ones in the museum via a telephone)

Sadly, there is no nice 'ring around the rosey' - 'let's be friends' solution. You will have to get rid of them either professionally sprayed out or DIY spray. I agree night spraying is best and you will likely have to repeat it for a few nights.

After you have killed them, make sure you seal any openings with expanding foam spray and caulk.

If they are in fact honey bees you can call a local honey farmer and he may take them out for you.

Please don't kill the bees. Call your local beekeepers association or extension agent for the name of the nearest beekeeper. They will come get the bees for free and your problem will be solved. Bees are under stress right now and are dying--please don't kill them!
