A couple of the tables at church have red Kool-Aid stains! They are the grey plastic tables that are so popular. How can I remove the stains? Help!!

  • oxi-bleach may do the trick. Its very difficult to remove stains in plastics. You may need to make a past out of the powered stuff and let it sit for a while. Then a good scrubbing with a stiff brush.

Try putting a little liquid dishwasher detergent on the stain and let is set for a few minutes. (kind of puddle it on)

Well, the great red stain experiment got drawn out! Put the soda and vinegar on one stain and oxi paste on the other. Had to leave for an appointment. Went back after appointment-mixtures cleaned up! Reapplied and called the person who usually cleans and asks him to please leave the 'stuff' alone and explained why it was there. Went back today and some of the mixture was on the floor and none on the tables! Sure the person I called didn't mess with it! We have a mysterious cleaner!? At any rate, the oxi paste didn't do much. The soda and vinegar took about half the stain. Who knows what would have happened if it could have stayed on longer! May try again. Sorry for the long story but, it has been rather amusing! Will try liquid dishwashing detergent this time too.

@Bonnie D Well shoot. Now if you had said nothing, would they have left it alone? I used the soda/vinegar mix on a red soda stain on light tan carpet. It worked wonders! Good luck dear and keep us posted!

My go to for stains like this is tilex tub and shower spray, just do not get it on your clothes as it will remove the colour from them too. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes and wipe the stain away. I have been using it for years. Make sure it is the kind that cleans Mildew, it is the best cheriesforgetmenots.com

I use 409 on laminate counter tops. I've never had a stain that it won't remove. May have to let set for a few minutes. I also use 409 to remove blood from clothes.
