I love this new industrial look, and have been trying to add elements of it throughout my home. I feel in love with a pallet wine rack at a craft show but it was far more expensive than my budget permitted, so I made my own!
The first thing I did was find an old pallet (a local business gave it to me for free) and I began removing the boards. This was much tougher than I expected. Then I cut the bottom of the pallet for my base.
I removed slats and started creating my crate.
I'm missing a few photos of some of the steps... After creating the crate that I wanted I added small cuts of wood to act as spacer for my wine glasses. I cut out the notches for the glasses.
After staining it a few times I finally got it the color that I wanted and I began roughing it back up a bit.
Finished product!!!! I love this!!!!!
I made a small adjustment afterwards to the hanging hardware and placed it lower so you can't see it. Overall, I am pretty happy with the results!
