Looking for Design Ideas for Wooden Smalls

A few high quality wooden "smalls" fell into my lap today when a friend who used to do fancy decorative painting wanted to get rid of them. Of course, as a furniture painter I will definitely be using chalk paint on some of them and I might paint and mosaic the flat tray. I'm sure I'll use them too in photo styling project too before I sell them. But I am open to other ideas as well. If you had these fall into your lap would you do with them? I've included just three of about eight different designs.
Isn't this the cutest! What would you do with this piece? (I can't tell if it round (like a purse) or half round like a piece for a front door display.)
Primitive wooden box with lid.
This flat tray might be nice for mosaic work.

I buy antique and primitive wood pieces....so if you can put a color on the box that is similar to original blues or reds with a bit of wear on it, that may be appealing to people. I would rather get the box as is, but that is just me. And yes, something cool needs to be done with that tray...mosaic, layering paper collage, old photo collage, Map collage, or the options are limitless! Not sure about the basket, again for me it looks nice as is....but I know some shabby chic paint may make it pop a bit more for resale! Good Luck with your project!

Thanks ladies! So (OurOwnBig World) you believe this box is truly of a "primitive" age? (I have only seen the photographs as of now.) My friend bought some of these items while she was living in Germany, approx. 20+ years ago. I expect I will use chalk paint with wax techniques that gives an aged, antiqued look. Sorry I should have mentioned that before. I'm happy to sell the box as it once I get it, if that interest you. Please contact me via e-mail if you are truly interested. donnaallgaierlamberti@gmail.com

Burlap and lace...kind of a rustic, soft feel. Great for holding little gifts, or a small food treat.....

Filling them or incorporating them into a Fall vignette would be pretty. White pumpkins, moss orbs, dried leaves...
