i would stay clear of the pre formed ponds. you will end up hating it. they give the water gardening world a bad rap. check out aquascapeinc.com they have alot of design ideas and they are the world leaders in manufacturing water feature materials. I only use aquascaspe. they have alot of DIY kits you would be interested in! i highly encourage you to take the leap and get your feet wet. once you experience the lifestyle you'll never go back! hence why i build them for a living now. I cant get enough!

Hire a Certified Aquascape Contractor to come to your house for a consultation. They can help you design the best feature and choose the best location in your yard. You can decide afterwards if you would like to do it your self or have it installed.
