Purse and Scarf Hanger

2 Hours
Easy
Do you hang your purse from one of those coat hooks? I do and I can’t even count how many purse handles I have damaged by doing that and I didn't even realize that the hooks were causing the damage. For my last birthday my in-laws spoiled me with a gift certificate that I used to get a very nice purse. I started to hang this purse on the door knob in the laundry room and after a few months I realized that the purse handles still looked like new and that’s when the light bulb went off. Using the door handle as a purse hanger wasn't very practical, so I decided to make a new purse holder with the same shape of the door knob.
Purse and Scarf Hanger
You just need: A think piece of wood, paint, curtains rings, strings, and a fence post cap.
Paint the wood a solid color or some decorative pattern.
Drill a hole and screw in the post cap.
attach and decorate the curtain rings.
Hang all your scarfs.
There you a safe hanger for your purse and scarfs.

This is so colorful and fun! I rotate between 6 leashes for my 3 dogs, depending on the weather. But, I'm also wondering if it could handle a jacket or sweater, draped over the whole bottom row? I hate hanger lumps on the shoulders and camel lumps from a single coat hook poking out of my softer layers!

I have too many scarves to fit the shower rings. Plus I hate the wrinkles from gathering the material. I'm hoping to find a Kon Marie type of suggestion, using a clear plastic storage case, with a lid to keep the dust, dog hair - and cat hair - I have one cat but he can equal 3 dogs in shedding. Trouble is, I have lots of lightweight silky scarves for spring, summer eves, and fall. I also have plenty of warm, wooly, furry scarves for winter.

Anyone have any suggestions for storing them so they're all straight, all visible, all tidy? I'd take pictures and share, if someone offers a solution!

Great inspiration, Alexandria! I hope to do a version that makes your project proud!

Great and so decorative a solution for my collection of dog leashes. The row of utility hooks I’m using is functional, but this is PERFECT! Doggie paw prints and stylized bones will probably be on my version.

Wonderful ideal. I hang mine on a kitchen chair arm and they become worn also. I think adding hooks for in a place that the scarf don't pull across may be a good addition also.
