Foyer Update: Paint by Number and Flea Market Finds Gallery Wall

I had posted a bit ago about a foyer of our split-level home I was having trouble decorating and painting. Well, I still have yet to paint (can't decide on a color) and the door and trim still needs to be updated but until all that happens I came up with a gallery wall idea that I'm very much liking. I put together some vintage paintings, prints, and vintage paint by numbers I had collected from thrift stores and flea markets the last few years and hung them on the wall going downstairs to the basement. I picked up a few bird cage hooks from Hobby Lobby (on clearance of course) to add some dimension. I've always been a sucker for old paintings and prints, whether they are of the sea, the outdoors, or cities, they just give a eccentric and homey feel. I have more to add and would like to cover that entire wall, I think they will look beautiful against a colored wall. I just enjoy the fact that when someone walks into my house they can go to a wall and get lost for a moment in various paintings or prints. It's almost like an art gallery without the million dollar paintings. ; ) Please check out my blog for more pics and inspirations.

Way of the Glue Gun on Feb 14, 2015I love that! I've been collecting Paint by Numbers for ages to do a similar gallery wall outside our laundry room. I'm a big horse girl so lots of mine are horses and farm scenes. So fun!!!! I love your inspiration pic as well, I've seen that one before and its just amazing.
