my husband is welding an iron door and i wanted to know if we should paint it black or dark brown?

what is more popular or better to ask if we should paint it to mach w/ the stone and the brick on the house?

    I would go with a dark brown, almost an oil rubbed bronze. The black is very deep and will become grey if it fades a bit. The Bronze color will retain a brownish tone.
