After the previous home owners took down a few decks, we were left with a few doors to nowhere.

One of our doors to nowhere.
I don't think the 70's and I would have jived. This metallic, mustard yellow and rusty orange wallpaper was hiding behind the door frame.
Removing the frame...
Fill in with plywood, caulking, spray foam...
...and insulation. Now just need some drywall inside and siding out and then it's PAINT!
