Turn Recycle Bin Bottles Into a Gift to Brighten Someone's Day!

3 Materials
My mom is undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and was feeling lousy, so while she took a nap, I decided to make her a gift that I hoped would bring a smile to her face.

She had a few glass bottles in her craft room. They held medicine she had to take before her surgery a few months ago, and I told her she should save them for a project. I just didn't realize at the time that I'd be the one making a project with them!

I found some amazing images of antique seed catalog covers (link to images at Knick of Time), and printed them out at wallet size. Nine images fit on a page, so you have lots of extras for more projects.

It took me about 10 minutes to transfer the images onto the bottles, and turn them into pretty vases to hold wildflowers I picked near her house.

The steps are simple:
Cut out the images, stick them on shipping tape, the the images, then rub the paper off the tape. Stick them onto the jars, and voila - a beautiful gift in minutes!

Image transfer onto glass is so unbelievably simple, and requires only 1 basic supply. It takes just minutes to do too!

Turning bottles and jars from the recycle bin into pretty flower vases is such an easy and inexpensive way to brighten someone's day. Perfect for a get well gift, or for someone who just had a baby, or even as a housewarming gift.
