How I Decorated My Silver Tray to Bring Me Joy.

Patty Rumaker
by Patty Rumaker
I brought together some meaningful objects to decorate my silver tray. I love cherubs, silver, poetry books and color so I added it all together to decorate my silver tray on my dining room table.
My little cherub just keeps on playing her horn.
I placed some amber glass beads inside of the cut crystal biscuit jar.
Got to love a fleu de lis.
I added some grapes to give it all some color.
She sits upon some very old poetry books.
The red candle and color and interest.

This a beautiful way to display examples of all the things you love in one grouping. I wonder if Julie Moyna really meant to say "pickle castor" (sp?). They look somewhat similar to your biscuit jar except the pickle jar is usually straight-sided and the silver handle has a long-handled silver fork hanging from a clasp. I would have thought the same thing at first sight. I'm not sure I've ever seen a biscuit barrel with a silver handle above it. I would have liked to see a photo taken a little farther back that included the whole tray.

Love what you did here! The cherub sitting on those books is precious. You added different heights and color in a way that is stunning. Great decorating!
